Whether you have a new puppy or your old friend has picked up some bad habits, we’re here to help. Our training team is US certified in Basic Obedience, Advanced Obedience, Potty Training, Agility, Basic Protection, Advanced Protection, Bomb Detection & Narcotics, Search & Rescue, Felon Search, Retrieve.

Requirements

Health

All dogs must be free from parasites, ticks/fleas, and communicable diseases. Any dog that poses a risk to the health of other dogs in our care will not be accepted at check-in. If our staff finds any reason for concern while your dog is in our care, he/she will be separated from the group and we will contact you about the situation. We will gladly welcome your dog back once they are healthy again and no longer pose a risk of infection.

Vaccinations

We want all dogs to be safe and healthy. As such, and in compliance with our on premises regulations and the recommendation of our Vet, we require proof of vaccinations from your veterinarian prior to using any of our services.

Basic Obedience

The Basic Obedience Class is designed for the new handler and dog. It is a basic class for non-aggressive dogs with little to no obedience, and teaches the fundamentals of heel, sit, down, stay and recall commands. Dogs and handlers are evaluated at the end of the four-week sessions for progression to the next level of obedience.

Advanced Obedience

The Advanced Obedience Class is designed for those who have successfully completed Basic Obedience training. This class emphasizes on building increased control of off-leash work, hand signals and agility training. Held in four-week sessions, each week builds on the prior week’s activities. Dog and handler must complete the Basic and Advanced Obedience classes or be evaluated by a K-9 Village Trainer before graduating this level.

Behavior Mode

An old dog can be taught new tricks and thankfully dog potty training is one of them. Ideally when you bring home your new dog from the pound or offer to dog sit for one of your friends, that dog’s potty training has already been completed so you are not left with the clean up. The unfortunate reality is a majority of people does not have their dog potty trained. A major mistake some dog owners make when starting the dog potty training process is the jump right into it without teaching their dog anything else. I believe in a process called shaping that teaches your dog to think for itself and solve problems on his own.

Agility

Agility is a fun class where the dog is led by the handler over, under and through a series of obstacle courses. This course builds upon obedience work by training the handler to remain in control while the dog is maneuvering through the agility course. Participants must have successfully completed at least the obedience classes to qualify.
